Ruth Strauss Foundation

Founded by Sir Andrew Strauss a former England cricket captain of note, and his late wife Ruth. this unique charity helps prepare young children for the impending death of a parent. Ruth Strauss passed away from non-smoking lung cancer leaving Sir Andrew and their two young sons. They realised the value of preparing kids and supporting them around the premature loss of a parent as a way of lessening the pain when death occurs. I discovered this charity when I was a spectator of a test match at Lords in 2019 when the Foundation was officially launched, shortly after Ruth's demise. Sir Andrew's continuing heartfelt appeals for financial support touched me tremendously, hence my support fro this very worthwhile charity.
